Calling all clubs; groups and organisations - Get Involved with Family Man Fun Day 2015

Published: Wednesday, 18 March 2015

Chance for community groups/ organisations to show case their organisation to over 2000 participants!

Community Learning and Home School Partnership and Partners are once again hosting a fantastic free event to celebrate Father’s Day 12-4pm on Sunday 21st June.

We offer community groups the opportunity to GET INVOLVED! Whether you want to show what your group does in one of our performance zones; offer a free come and try session or raise funds in our Community Carnival area we want to hear from you.

This year we are ‘wheelie’ excited to once again be joining forces with the organisers of South Lanarkshire’s ‘Big Bike Day’. There will be lots of cycle themed additions to our programme.

Billed as ‘The fun way to spend father’s day’ , the event offers something for every member of the family, from our Tot and Toddlers Zone ; Teens and Tweenies Zone where you can get fitness tests and enjoy tasters and demos of various types of activities available from the Guides; local Sports clubs and Scouts; not to mention the Go Outdoor Zone with inflatables and Climbing Wall courtesy of the Army Cadets; Scottish Fire and Rescue and much more. So whatever the weather, call the cousins, pack a picnic and make a day of it!

Entry to the event and almost all activities on the day are free of charge for families. The only area charging will be the Community Carnival area where local groups and organisations will host fundraising stalls to raise money for their activities. Charges are limited here to £1 per turn/ shot to ensure that the day remains affordable and fun for all. For more info contact fiona.robertson@southlanarkshire.gov.uk or tel – (01698) 452214
